Interesting visit by a Candidate for the European Parliament

On Wednesday, August 23, 2023, Viking Wind hosted a visit from two Radical Politicians, Anne Sophie Callesen and Søren Mikkelsen.
The meeting was arranged following a request from Anne Sophie Callesen and Søren Mikkelsen, who were interested in hearing about wind energy in general and what future perspectives there are for the Wind industry. They also wanted to know more about the challenges wind energy faces versus other energy sources, on a European level.

Another question was what challenges and barriers Viking Wind, as a manufacturer of small wind turbines faces in general.

The CEO of Viking Wind, Ulrich Høgenhaven, mentioned e.g., the challenges that exist regarding Energy Communities at a national plan, but also the barriers you encounter with type approvals both in the EU and globally when you, as a manufacturer of small wind turbines want to sell your turbines on the world market.

The visit also held time for a company tour of the Viking Wind premises.

Anne Sophie Callesen:

- Born in 1988

- Has been a member of Radikale Venstre for 18 years.

- Is a candidate for the European Parliament in the East Jutland constituency.

- Former European spokesperson for Radikale

- Born in 1965

- Is the Chairman of Randers municipality

- Søren Mikkelsen's key issues:

o The social area with a focus on vulnerable children and young people in care

o Better rural-urban connectivity and proper infrastructure

o The education sector

Off to a good start after summer vacation

At Viking Wind, everyone is back after a successful summer vacation and the wheels (or rather the wings) are spinning merrily again.
We have already cast the first foundation after the vacation and the final installation of the turbine is expected in week 37.
