Ulrich Høgenhaven and Pia Jakobsen from Viking Wind have just returned from a trip to Bangladesh. A carefully planned visit with many thorough preparations, from Viking Wind's first contact with the Danish Embassy in Bangladesh to the trip becoming a reality.

Now that the trip is over, you can reflect on the many exciting experiences and impressions.

"It has been an extremely exciting trip with many new impressions. There has been a lot of interest in our new turbine, which is designed for markets like this. We have met a lot of passionate people with an interest in renewable energy solutions like ours," says Pia Jakobsen, Sales and Project at Viking Wind.

The trip has been packed with experiences and impressions. There has been a packed program all days of the trip with many content-rich and rewarding meetings that have given the people from Viking Wind ample opportunity to present the turbine, talk about green energy, sustainability and future-proofing our earth.

Samina Shahrukh, Senior Trade Adviser and Jacob Kahl Jepsen, Commercial Counsellor, Head of Trade from the Danish Embassy in Bangladesh were fantastic hosts and extremely well prepared for the visit.

Bangladesh is already well advanced in the transition process of using smaller amounts of fossil fuels, both in their industry, but also as private individuals and have instead turned their attention to more environmentally friendly solutions such as wind energy. Wind energy, which has generated a lot of interest in the turbine from Viking Wind.

"The trip has been rewarding and exciting, and we even experienced an earthquake with a 5.5 on the Ricther scale, which perhaps made the trip a little too exciting, but illustrates very well what weather phenomena our turbine must be able to withstand," says Ulrich Høgenhaven, CEO Viking Wind.
