Christiansborg is breathing new energy into Danish small wind turbines with a long-awaited law on an increased subsidy scheme. The subsidy comes into effect from February 11, 2015, and is granted for 20 years from the time of connection. In addition, the price supplement is retroactive for wind turbines installed after November 20, 2012.

The increased price supplement will take effect from February 11, 2015, and means that the settlement price for electricity will increase to 150 øre per kWh. This means that the wind turbine owners' overproduction will earn them 150 øre per kWh delivered to the grid.

The new law states that the support is granted for 20 years after the time of grid connection and that the price supplement is retroactive for wind turbines installed on or after November 20, 2012.

The subsidy scheme includes wind turbines with an installed power of more than 10 kW. This means that the HS Wind produced Viking 25 wind turbine, with an output of 25 kW, is relevant for the price premium. The surcharge and the fixed market price together result in a settlement price of 150 øre per kWh.

On Wednesday, February 11th at 10:00 am, small wind turbine owners can apply to Energinet.dk for support under the new rules. HS Wind reminds current wind turbine owners that the new subsidy scheme is also relevant for those who have installed turbines from November 20, 2012. The application will be published in the form of a form that can be used to apply by post:
