Sky-high energy prices boost interest in residential wind turbines

1/9/2022

With electricity prices skyrocketing, interest in alternative energy sources has exploded in the last six months.

On Wednesday, August 24, 2022, electricity prices hit a new record of 9.37 DKK per kilowatt-hour (incl. VAT and taxes). The high price is due to many unfortunate factors. The current gas conflict with Russia as a result of the war in Ukraine has an impact on the gas price, which has therefore skyrocketed. With gas suddenly becoming a scarce resource, prices are being pushed up, affecting the many power plants that use natural gas to produce electricity for their customers. And unfortunately, there's nothing in the sun, moon and stars to show that this sad trend is about to reverse. Quite the contrary!

Electricity is an indispensable resource in our daily lives, and with the record-breaking increase in the cost of a kilowatt-hour, more and more Danes are now looking for alternatives such as wind and solar energy. This is in an effort to become self-sufficient in electricity and minimize the uncertainty of being dependent on more traditional energy sources.

It looks beautiful and can deliver 100% green energy at a competitive price

As we all know, when it rains on the priest, it drips on the minister.

We are also noticing this growing interest at Viking Wind. In the last six months, we have experienced an increased demand in an otherwise stagnant Danish market, which is why we have hired a sales consultant to handle the many inquiries we receive daily from Danes who want to become independent of traditional energy sources.

Klaus Holt, has recently been hired to manage the interest of the many concerned Danes who want to take matters into their own hands and become energy self-sufficient.

Klaus says he receives daily inquiries from interested customers with high electricity consumption. "These inquiries are now so far along in the process that we expect to be able to install the first turbines before the New Year. And there can be a lot of money to be saved if you have high energy consumption. The higher your own consumption, the faster the turbine will pay for itself.

An additional benefit of switching to wind energy - besides becoming self-sufficient in energy and thus independent of the unfavorable economic conditions that currently prevail in the energy market - is that the energy produced is a 100% green, non-polluting energy source that nature delivers to you for free when the wind blows - which it often does in Denmark.

Switching to green energy now will also help speed up the green transition, which is of paramount importance for the climate - we simply cannot afford to hesitate if we are to reach our climate goals by 2030.

So if you haven't already spoken to Klaus, you should do so now. He can tell you all about what options are available for you and your energy consumption. Give him a call on +45 2252 3398 or send him an email at klaus@viking-wind.energy. We promise he's ready to take your call.
