We have attended a theme day on March 13, 2014 - organized by Energinet.dk

13/3/2014

The Danish Energy Association (Brancheforeningen for the electricity companies) had a presentation on grid reinforcement.

Grid reinforcement.

The rules for solar PV systems and wind turbines are not the same.
Low voltage reinforcements caused by wind turbines are paid via the PSO scheme.
This means that turbine owners do not have to pay this cost themselves if the grid needs to be reinforced in connection with having a turbine installed on their property. The electricity company is responsible for this cost.

If you have any questions about the above, please feel free to contact us.

The Danish Wind Turbine Association also had a contribution.

Transfer pricing.

Latest amendment of the "Electricity Supply Act" from May 30, 2013.
Net settlement on an hourly basis for wind turbines from November 20, 2012.
Wind turbines larger than 10 kW up to and including 25 kW: 150 øre/kWh. This applies for 20 years from the time of connection to the grid. As previously mentioned, the settlement price of electricity sold is subject to notification in the EU. This is expected to be completed in the summer of 2014.
The settlement rules will be reconsidered when 2.5 MW has been installed - but no later than 2015. It is the Danish Wind Turbine Association's assessment that in the future we should expect lower settlement prices than today.

So we strongly encourage you to start the building application process now, as you should expect a processing time of approximately 3 months from the time you submit the initial paperwork to the municipality until your building application is completed. If you have a building permit in place this summer, we can install your turbine before the wind season starts in the fall, so you can get the full benefit of your turbine from day one.
