Viking Wind on third visit to Bangladesh

21/3/2019

Primo March 2019 the Viking Wind delegation went on yet another trip to Bangladesh with a heavy schedule leaving, little room for delays

Ulrich Høgenhaven, CEO and Pia Jakobsen, Sales and Projects went on another visit to Bangladesh primo in March 2019.
As usual, the trip was organized in consultation with the Danish Embassy in Bangladesh which has proven to be a valuable aid through the 'Bangladesh project'.

Yet again, there was envisaged a tight schedule for the 3. visit in Bangladesh which e.g. included meetings with stakeholders, a 12 hours boat trip to visit the island Monpura, a "business Get Together" in the Danish ambassador's residence with Viking Wind as hosts, and another string of meetings before the return to Denmark.

On the meeting agenda were meetings with an IT technology company, the United Nations Development Program, an NGO organization, a renewable energy company, government institutions in Bangladesh with responsibility for sustainable energy and the development of rural areas and a company specialized in the development of infrastructure.

After a long and challenging boat trip to the island Monpura- a densely populated area that could benefit a great deal from a steady and durable energy solution as Viking Wind's turbines can provide, there was time for a tour on the island before another long boat trip awaited back to Dhaka. Back in Dhaka, there was time for a quick 'freshen up' before yet another range of meetings with stakeholders was awaiting at the Danish Embassy.

Wednesday evening Viking Wind hosted a "business get-together" at the Danish ambassador's residence with 50-60 stakeholders invited. The evening included speeches from SREDA - a governmental institution with responsibility for sustainable and renewable energy and from Viking Wind before it was time to mingle and network with the guests.

Thursday was another day filled with meetings before a long flight back to Denmark was awaiting the team from Viking Wind.
