Service inspections are currently being carried out on the Viking Wind turbine in Greenland, which was erected in December 2018.
A cold climate test has been added to the general routine check of the Viking wind turbine, which will test the wind turbine under the extreme weather conditions the climate in Greenland at times offers.
Besides the general service check and the special tests for extreme weather conditions, the service team from Viking wind is educating the locals in Sisimiut in handling future general service checks.
Meanwhile, the Danish market for small wind turbines is prospering from the recently concluded annual feed-in tariff pool for small Wind turbines.
At present, the Danish Energy Agency is processing the received applications and the number of applications indicates a still significant interest from the Danish people in energy produced in a sustainable and environmentally- sound way.
